Wild Women, Wild Voices: Writing from Your Authentic WildnessBeginning Tuesday, June 6, twelve weekly workshop sessions will take participants through the explorations from the critically acclaimed book, Wild Women, Wild Voices: Writing from Your Authentic Wildness. Each session will take place online from Noon-2 pm PT. Pre-registration is required and participants will be sent a private link to the gathering.  Group size will be limited. Early registration is suggested.

As a gathering of women writers, we’ll explore the deep stirrings that come to mind when we hear the words “wild” and “woman.” Each week as we join together in virtual community our work will focus upon a different aspect of our lives—our wild child/wild girl; our physical selves; the geography of home; loves and lovers; wild woman as creator and artist; aspects of family; friendships; life journeys; light and shadow; dreams and intuition; and death, loss and legacy and others.

Over our twelve weeks together, we’ll give voice to an authentic expression of thoughts and feelings that are too often ignored or set aside; we’ll remember our stories and share them or keep them, safe and sacred, within the private pages of our journal.

Writers of all genres and all experience are invited to participate in this workshop that will use free-writing exercises to touch into the places that belong to our wild feminine nature. The work of Wild Women is to value our creative nature and respond to its urgings. Let us do it together in a safe and nurturing community of like-spirited explorers.

Like all previous Wild Women, Wild Voices workshops, this group will be a safe and private place to share your stories. Participants will be invited to share their work aloud within in the privacy of the gathering, but no critique will be given on the writing. Our goal is to nurture our wild voice and discover, uncover, and recover our stories.

The material will be taken from my book, Wild Women, Wild Voices: Writing from Your Authentic Wildness (New World Library, 2015). The text is not required for participation in the group, but some writers may find the additional material will enrich their workshop and writing experience. Copies of the book may be purchased through Bookshop.org, an online retailer which supports independent bookstores,  Amazon and other retailers. An e-book edition is also available.
