Spring Writing Retreat at Mission San Luis Rey
Mission San Luis Rey Oceanside, CADetails about Spring Writing Retreat at Mission San Luis Rey
Our all-day writing retreat comes a few days after the actual May Day, but still we’ll honor the occasion as we gather in our private room in the beautiful setting at Mission San Luis Rey (I can already smell the roses) and write our stories and share them. Prompts and writing explorations will be as abundant as the blooming on the landscaped Mission grounds.

Each session in this four-session workshop will feature a different approach to writing a flash nonfiction. During our first hour, we’ll review a theme, read and discuss a brief essay relating to the use of that theme. Our second hour we’ll try our hand at writing a flash essay of our own, with review and response from workshop participants.
