Writing by handWhen you go from the abstract to the concrete in your writing you move from the head and into the body where the heart of the story lives. Good writing brings the physical world of a story to life—the reader can see, hear, taste, touch, and smell right along with the characters. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to ground your writing in clear, specific language, when and how to make nouns and verbs the primary tools in your writer’s toolbox, and how to create details that stay in the reader’s memory long after the story is finished. Lots of examples, in-workshop exercises and lively dialogue. For writers of all levels.
