You’ve got a great idea or a first draft of a hot, new short story, or personal narrative essay. Everything seems to be there: beautiful language, strong
characters, compelling conflict, and clear themes. But something is missing,
and you don’t know what it is. In this one-day class, master writing
teacher, Judy Reeves will help find the weakness in your piece’s structure,
retrofit the spine, and patch up any narrative holes. Through fun in-class
writing exercises and focused workshopping, you’ll breathe new life into an
old fixer upper.  By the end of the class, you’ll have unstuck your tale,
or narrative essay and have a good sense of how to transform it into a literary
masterpiece that can withstand the huffing and puffing of the sharpest
critic.

Note: Participants should bring in 3 pages of prose or 1 poem or an idea to
workshop in class.
