First Sunday of each month
Beginning Nov. 6, 2016
San Diego Writers, Ink
Writing alone, submitting together. That’s what this new once-a-month support and accountability group is all about. We must do the writing alone, but when it comes to submitting our work, sometimes we need a little help from our friends. How do you find the best markets for your poems or short stories or flashes? How do you set up a submission calendar and then actually do the submitting? Need a group to be accountable to? Want to find fellow writers to talk with about your submission process, to celebrate your acceptances and with whom you can process your rejections? Want a time and place to check in with a supportive, welcoming group of writers? This might be the place for you.
Submission Summit is a drop-in group, but making a commitment to participate each month might be the best thing you can do for your writing and for those who will read your work.
(Note: We’re not a read-and-critique group, and we won’t edit or review the writing, but SDWI offers several such groups where you can hone your work so it is submission-ready.)
