More Info & Registration
Spring Equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year. Day and night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light. This is a time of new life—spring arrives, the sun warms, the day lengthens, and the air takes on the scent of freshly turned soil and emerging green. Spring is a time of awakening, of healing and renewal, of the dawning and planning of new ideas. What could be better than to celebrate the new season’s arrival in the midst of all that budding and bursting, so close we can smell it, touch it, and allow its freshness to bring our imaginations to life.
This year, our annual Spring Equinox Celebration will take us to Harry Griffen Regional Park in La Mesa, a beautiful outdoor setting with many walking paths and secluded places to gather. We’ll experience nature as it welcomes the new season and we’ll explore with our writer-sensibilities and writing our response in our own individual, creative voices.
Bring a friend and join us. More information and directions will be sent upon registration.
For fiction and nonfiction writers. Poets, too.
