A photograph is a moment captured in time, an instant of reality recorded in less than a heartbeat. Yet within this frozen instant, histories are held like creatures in amber, petrified pieces of our lives. In this retreat we’ll explore these moments for the information they hold, discover the stories they contain and the secrets they harbor. In this generative writing workshop, we’ll work from photographs and writing prompts to create an album of word pictures in our notebooks to keep, relive, and pass on to others.
