Fall for Writing-SD Writers, Ink Fall Writing Conference

Friday-Sunday/Oct. 11-13
The Ink Spot & Inspirations Gallery/Liberty Station
More Info & Registration

This is going to be a fun and full weekend of exciting workshops, panels, readings and salons for every type of writer. The weekend kicks off with Dime Stories, the legendary open mic reading featuring your 3 minutes (and not a second longer) of prose on Friday evening at The Ink Spot. Sign up begins at 7:30 pm, open mic starts at 8.

I’m pleased to present “Writing Memory” on Sunday evening at 6 pm  and cohost the Second Sunday Author Series — Women’s Voices, Women’s Stories, featuring Marivi Soliven, author of The Mango Bride Sunday afternoon at 4 pm at the Women’s Museum. Some of your other favorite instructors are leading workshops, too and there’ll be more readings and panels, opportunities for hanging out with other writers and opportunities to do some writing. See the complete schedule of events here.

And, get this: You can attend the whole thing for $120 if you’re a member of Writers, Ink. $140 if you’re not, but why wouldn’t you be?. Or you can choose among the individual workshops for $25/ea and some of the panels and other events for only $5, including drop-in writing practice/prompt groups on both days.

The Fall for Writing Conference is San Diego Writers, Ink’s fall fundraiser, and all the instructors and presenters are donating their time, so 100% of the registration fees go to support San Diego Writers, Ink, which is a nonprofit organization. There’s not a better deal in town.
