Each session will focus on a specific technique for good writing: Show, Don’t Tell, Truth is in the Details, Writing from the Senses, and Into the Deep. Through examples and exercises, participants will learn how to show and when to tell; how to find the telling details and when to use them; how to use the senses to bring the words on the page to life for the reader; and how to go deeper into character, scene, description, and dialogue. This class is for fiction and nonfiction writers of all levels who want to make their writing more vivid, more alive, and more fun to write.
