A Writer’s Book of Days—
First the Book, Now the Class
Wednesdays, 3-5 pm
Jan. 17- April 11, 2018 (12 sessions; no class March 7)
There’s a reason both writers new to the craft and experienced wordsmiths continue to use this book nearly twenty years after its initial publication; its subtitle says it all: A Spirited Companion and Lively Muse for the Writing Life. Within its pages, you’ll find friendly instruction in the craft of writing; down-to-earth, practical tips; thought-provoking and inspiring quotes; insight and gossip into the lives of famous and infamous writers; and guidelines for a writing practice that will keep your pen moving and your stories flowing. There’s also a writing prompt for every day of the year and then some.
For the first time, I’ll lead a 12-week class based on my award-winning and critically acclaimed book. Week by week, we’ll work through the exercises and explorations, and build a solid writing practice. Writers of both fiction and nonfiction can use the prompts to add to a work-in-progress or create new material.
I hope you’ll join us for this joyful journey into a writing practice that will both inspire and support your writing life.
